“Where were you when we started our business?” That is a common question that we get from our partners who have switched to us. Frankly, we also wish we had launched our booking platform, TourCheckout, earlier to help more tour operators like us succeed.

In this article, we will show you how easy it is to make the switch. The process of migrating to another booking platform can seem daunting, but it doesn’t have to be, when you have the right people looking out for your success. We will outline our migration process step by step so that you will have peace of mind when you decide to make the switch.

Step 0: Get a Demo

If you are reading this article, you probably have already gotten a demo from one of our team members if not from me directly. If you haven’t, you can schedule one with us here.

Step 1: Identify Your Low Season

As tour operators, we all have our low season(s). You can let us know when is your best time to make the switch. Most often, this would be a low season immediately after a high season. For those specializing in summer activities, this would be around late August through November/December. For those specializing in winter activities, this would be around April through June. For year-around activities, together, we can figure out a time that allows for the smoothest transition.

Step 2: Configuring Your Account

Our team here TourCheckout will dive deep into your current offerings from your website, so that we can create an account for you with all of your products ready to go.

Step 3: Closing the Gap

We will work with you closely for the final 10% to make sure everything is as you want it to be. This includes: how does the waiver email look like, how does the confirmation email look like, how does the abandoned cart email look like, etc. You have complete control and can edit even the smallest details, on your own through our platform or with us by your side. We’re here to provide support from our US-based support team via phone or chat. It’s never too hard to get a hold of us.

Step 4: Going Live

You would need to replace the current widgets with our TourCheckout widgets. That’s it! Once complete, we will check in with you to make sure everything is running smoothly. We will also provide you with a dedicated account manager to help you with any questions you may have. Every one of our account manager has a technical background, meaning that they can help you with any questions right there and then, without having to create a ticket and making you wait. Our account managers are available 8 hours a day from 9am to 5pm Eastern time to help you with any questions.

We’re thrilled to be able to work with you and help you succeed.
