Vendors and Their Prices

The table below outlines the prices of various popular booking software options. Vendors sometimes split their fee structure into a “front-end” or widget fee and a “back-end” fee. The front-end fee is the fee charged for any online transactions from the booking widget that you embed on your website. The back-end fee is the fee charged for transactions made through the booking software’s dashboard by you or your back-office staff.

Some vendors allow you to choose a combination of front-end and back-end fees. With this setup, it appears as though you can save money by encouraging the customer to book over the phone so that it doesn’t count towards the front-end fee. In reality, this adds additional workload on your team, not to mention missed phone calls, and most customers simply prefer the convenience of booking online.

With TourCheckout, we charge a flat 1% fee on all transactions, regardless of how the booking is made.

In the next post, we will discuss the migration process of switching to TourCheckout. We will lay out our “patented” no-hassle transition process where we’ll work with you to identify a low season, move your booking widgets, customer data if any, and start saving you sooner than you anticipated.
